What should I wear for my Halloween costume?
I want to go as John Bonham (if you don’t know who that is, it’s the drummer from Led Zeppelin) this year for Halloween and I want to go as him from 1973. Which pants should I wear: light blue bell bottoms or straight-leg white jeans? And where can I buy a fake mustache that looks like his (exactly) and a shirt similar to his? Also, a wig that looks like his hair. I live 45-90 minutes from New York City (plenty of thrift/vintage stores there) and about 20 miles from Newark, New Jersey. (The name of my town is Lyndhurst). I live in New Jersey.

Go w/the straight leg….and carry drum sticks…and maybe put a Led Zeppelin patch on your back pocket(Hot Topic sells those).
Also, re: the mustache dealie; see if Spirit costumes has anything…I know Lyndhurst will have costume shops, so check those out. You can buy a huge mustaches and trim it to the way you want which is what we did for my 9 year old son who was Dale Earnhardt…we trimmed the ‘stache and he looked amazing! Be sure to use lots of spirit gum(the adhesive) and before using it wash and exfoliate your facial area.
Good luck! Sounds like a great idea for a costume! I want my husband is going to be a “negative” of Jimi Hendrix because he’s white, so…..it’ll be funny! Let us know what you decide.
